2.1. Reagent Test Strip
3. PROCEDURE:
- Perform visual inspection:
a. Color = _(Normal color is light yellowish)_
b. Transparency = (Normally transparent)
- Perform Urine strip test for sugar, pH, protein content, etc. Compare color chart to determine
presence or absence for the test specified.
- Perform microscopic test at 40X objective magnification:
a. Prepare wet preparation of urine and observe the entire slide in microscope.
b. Check for presence of:
RBC – (Normally few or absent)
Pus cells – (Normally few or absent)
Epithelial cells- (Normally few or absent)
Casts - (Normally nearly clear)
Crystals – (Normally absent or few)
Microbial particles – (Normally sterile)
4. Prepare lab report of the observations.
